Drinking Water State Revolving Fund

Construction of upgrades and improvements to the following Water Authority of Great Neck North Facilities (Wells 2A, 5, 6, 8, 10A, 11A and Portable Generator Replacement) were financed, in agreement with the Water Authority, by the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF). The DWSRF program is administered by the NYS Department of Health and the NYS Environmental Facilities Corporation with joint funding from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and New York State. This finance agreement provides that these projects will be funded with 25% grant proceeds, with the other 75% financed by the Water Authority at 0% interest, which includes a 30 year payback term. These projects will provide water quality benefits, by ensuring that these facilities are protected against severe flooding and also provide backup power to multiple wells for the water supply that the Water Authority of Great Neck North provides to its customers. DWSRF programs operate around the country to provide states and communities the resources necessary to maintain and improve the infrastructure that protects our valuable water resources nationwide.
